POLICY DOCUMENT ROMAPRIDE 2009

In 1969, New York, in the rebellion at the Stonewall Inn gay bar in Greenwich Village, fece la storia del movimento lgbtq.

A quarant’anni da quella data il RomaPride 2009 ricorda e difende that moment in history as our collective memory, using the resources essential to any Pride and congenial, a parade full of music, fun, ideas, liberation, struggle and creativity along with demands, political demands and any opposition to repression and denial of any recognition of fundamental civil rights. The Pride is the moment of greatest visibility of the LGBTQ community and stands as the crowning of a political activity and made up of everyday social relations with institutions, political forces and civil society, with the media to give space to the requests for renewal society. Pride can be found in the convergent and united, peaceful and purposeful in a parade, all persons and subjectivity and political associations that are fighting to build an inclusive, secular, open, supportive, able to accommodate diversity, and by the approval flee, refusing loudly and with conviction attempts to transform individuals in the same subject , real estate, obedient, silent and hidden.

"Free all, free of all" is the slogan of RomaPride 2009.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender / transsexual, queer and lots of s-free women and men s parade in Rome as is the case every year since 1994. On June 13, 2009 a parade of strong ideas, free, joyous, peaceful, proud and assertive of the roads pass through Capital. And as always the will of all RomaPride / and those who want to live it with enthusiasm, passion and zest for life, for full visibility of lifestyle choices, which must be free for all and all.

the cry of "Free all, free of all" the procession through the city with the same claims in recent years, which can be summarized in Equality, Dignity, Secularism. These words are the essence of the demands and needs of citizens and the city lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender / transsexual and queer, but they also represent the foundation of a free democracy and mature, at this historic moment in our country and political seem to go away every day more. The complete indifference to the demands and needs of the LGBTQ community, unlike other European countries where the movement has reached at least the legislative goals for LGBTQ people, their relationships, their families, their sons and their daughters , highlight the atmosphere of repression and clerical Italy and put our country in last place in a ranking that does him honor.

In this phase of Italian history, humiliated by a climate of ideological fundamentalism, liberation concerns everybody. Also, it follows the law on assisted procreation, ideological and not meaningful, as is also said the Constitutional Court, the choices of the government than ethical issues, back and pushed the idea of \u200b\u200ba unique moral state, as well as promises lately with the law on living wills, which would require all how to die. But also the safety interventions are not worthy of a responsible country, united and pluralistic, so free, when you choose the private or uncontrollable patrols was blamed on foreign citizens, or generally to other / and be a source and problem of violence and insecurity. To support some of these operations is the ongoing, serious and inappropriate political interference by the Vatican hierarchy that strong of a presence in cross-party, they use religious sentiment to preclude even the only discussione di leggi contro l’omofobia, la lesbofobia e la transfobia e per la tutela dei diritti della comunità lgbtq.

I contenuti culturali e conservatori proposti dalla destra su questi temi vengono utilizzati in maniera strumentale and hypocritical: the LGBTQ community is often accused of claiming rights that do not belong to them, to undermine civil society with the request for recognition of gay couples and laws that safeguard them, to undermine and weaken the family "natural" with the recognition of new families, including those omogenitoriali.

then continues down a guilty legislative oversight for a large proportion of citizens and Italian citizens, despite the LGBTQ people continue to have the same lives and the same needs.

The message to the institutional policy must be clear: the positions of the PDL retrograde react strongly with our protest. Moreover we reiterate our criticism of the Party Democrats for their positions lukewarm and ambiguous on the subject of civil and social rights. So to all political forces without exception require more attention than to stimuli and suggestions that come from individual and / citizens / and, associations, networks and movements. Our unit of time control and visibility, the Pride is an opportunity for all political forces to take a position on ethical issues, social and civil rights which is not only now but LGBTQ people who invest all citizens.

RomaPride The 2009 is, from this point of view, the place where they have citizenship rights for all and all, the event with the highest exposure of bodies and ideas, freedom, solidarity, diversity of sexual orientation of 'gender identity and the fantastic wealth of ethnic, religious and political.

"Free all, free of all" claims anti-fascism, anti-sexism and anti-racism as the indispensable and central to any struggle for liberation and reaffirms its peaceful nature and combating violence in all its forms, stating her ditotalitarismo vocation against all forms, be it theocratic, economic, political or social. The RomaPride 2009 also reaffirms its undeniable and inescapable affinity with the demands of the feminist movement by stating that the fate of a progressive society and evolved passes through women's self-determination and full citizenship for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender / transsexual and queer. The

RomaPride 2009, with its peaceful march, is a form of self defense for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender / transsexual and queer homophobia, and transphobia from lesbofobia, as well as reiterates his defense and physical violence denunciation of the patriarchal system as a cause of violence against women, children, disabled people, lesbians, gays and transgender people / transsexuals.

POLICY PLATFORM

PIATTAFORMA RIVENDICATIVA ROMAPRIDE 2009

Consideriamo il livello the comparison between the political forces of all arrears. The demands and needs of lesbian couples, gay and transgender / transsexual people, however, excluded from access to marriage and the opportunity to join a civil ceremony, are not taken into account.

We demand equal rights, through the extension of civil marriage or equivalent institution. In accordance with the different types of emotional ties, and in line with what has happened in Europe also ask you to create different and distinct from marriage institutions which provide public legal recognition of civil unions.

In Italia per le persone LGBT continuing discrimination in the workplace, at school, in society.

We demand a law against discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity, to remove barriers to social and rules that limit the effective equality of homosexual and transgender and Italian immigrants and that transposes the full substantial European Directives 207/1976 and 78/2000.

In particular we ask:
Mancino · the extension of the law on sexual orientation and gender identity;
· the application of the European 207 of 1976 on equal treatment between men and women also to persone che transitano da un sesso all’altro, secondo la sentenza della Suprema Corte Europea del 30 aprile 1996;
· la modifica del Decreto legislativo 216 del 2003 "Attuazione della Direttiva 2000/78/CE per la parità di trattamento in materia di occupazione e di condizioni di lavoro", anche per eliminare le nuove discriminazioni che comporta, come quelle contro gay e lesbiche in divisa;
. un adeguamento della normativa italiana affinchè sia possibile il reale recepimento della direttiva europea 38/2000 sulla libertà di movimento dei cittadini europei e dei loro familiari extracomunitari in modo rispettoso dei diritti delle coppie di fatto o registrate gay e lesbiche;
- un impegno per la pianificazione di azioni positive against prejudice and discrimination of type homophonic, lesbofobico and culture that stigmatizes and associated stereotypical lesbian, gay and transgender / transsexual images and to conduct remote from reality, even with interventions in schools, awareness campaigns and best practices.

ask for Italy to assume a proactive role for the respect of human rights worldwide, while continuing to support efforts to achieve the decriminalization of homosexuality and transsexuality offenses found in the legislation of many countries, and maintains a positive commitment to abolish the death penalty.

HEALTH AND WELFARE OF PERSONS LGBT

Chiediamo l l'effettiva attivazione della "Commissione per i diritti e le pari opportunità per lesbiche, gay, bisessuali e transgender", presso the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Department for Human Rights and Equal Opportunities and the "Permanent Forum against serious harassment and violence against women, sexual orientation and gender identity."

ask the practical application of the protocol ' understanding signed in October 2007 by the Ministry of Education and parents' associations, which includes measures to counter homophobia and bullying in schools and youth around the world.

We demand the repeal of Act 40 on medically assisted procreation, and the revision of Law 164 of 1982 on sex change, to enable the master to change its own name and gender identification without the need genital surgery.

demand the necessary treatment free of gender transition and that they compete not coercively cases of intersex.

Greeting For Pregnant Wife From Husband

Laura, a woman (former) transgender, survived the earthquake of Abruzzo

di Federica Pezzoli
6 maggio 2009

Death, destruction, broken lives. For many, nothing - giustappunto, death. For others - the "lucky" survivors - the tents, discomfort, and having to start a life with great difficulty, with the hope of social solidarity. A constitutional principle, but an illustrious unknown in our beloved country - Italy.

The media have recounted the suffering of a large population, which in a few minutes he has lost everything. In this apocalypse made of dead bodies - too many - and rubble, also survived Laura, a woman (former) transgender, for me a friend who, years ago, fate made me meet them and know where they are reborn and few others, such as T. devoured by the beast of the century, a young mother who goes out in a few days, I shared one of the most important pages of my life. Laura, also like me, like many of us, or transgender (former) transgender women only for the state, looking for years of a life at par, for Laura, however, in a hard land, Abruzzo - too often, a foreign land that often rejects those who are lesbian, gay, transgender, (ex) transgender.

her that I have heard in recent days. Yesterday I wrote a letter, the same as that sent to local newspapers and regional Abruzzo. A letter soaked with the acrid smell of who wrote it in the rubble in a land devastated by the earthquake. Unlike many, and many survivors, the media chose not to give her voice telling his story of Abruzzo earthquake, and the infamous suspicion arises that we did it because (former) transgender. Laura also lives in fear, topped by a great uncertainty, in a marked loneliness. Today, a life even more isolated. If before the earthquake, its existence was difficult in a city culturally unfamiliar in welcoming the Other than if - or transgender (former) transgender, lesbian or gay - now, for Laura, it was all pretty darn complicated.

I leave to his words. Do not let us leave to fall, with indifference, in a vacuum. In the silence of nothing
consciences.

Today I feel this city a bit 'me, because it brings into the wounds that I carry in a lifetime. And that brings me closer to people, hopelessly lost everything. Home and work. The loved ones, their pets. And with the home lost their inner life, memories, images, smells of their walls. But more disconcerting is the fact that they have lost their cradle. The house is the birthplace of each one in which everyone was rocking. No one can survive without its cradle, all have one. And now, people no longer have one, will look for another one ... and there will be those who will find it more because they do not have time. Because this wound has taken away the dreams, desires, talents, imagination. FREEDOM '

And many will be busy for years to putting up four walls to protect them from the cold and pain. And that might not kill anyone ...

Why this tragedy, "announced" it can not be claimed by anyone, because the culprits soon become ghosts and skeletons that no one can catch. The horror that I see around, I observe him for years, unfortunately when I decided it was not right for my status as a transsexual, and blindly flee the province tricky. Without my family and friends I could not survive a journey so mysterious that time represented the dream of life, with I do not find time anymore. This city, now fragile and untouchable, he removed any possibility of talent, intellectual wealth, but in spite of everything, now do not dispose of that rag in the toilet area that I built, and yet I hope God brings you back a few individuals all the light is ours. Now imagine that among those affected by this tragedy there are also those who have contributed to my tragedy, people who 20 years ago, we were isolated, ridiculed, beaten, expelled from public spaces. ... and I will not rage on. Well, I suggest to these people, that another important occasion as this, to think about how important it is to be welcomed, helped, loved, respected, in their most difficult moments like this, maybe will not have anymore.

I have learned over time (perhaps) to defend myself, but we all have a duty to stop turning our heads the other side when we meet someone who is different from us, and this is really the magic moment to reflect, to learn to share their lives with others, without creating unnecessary suffering in others. I feel a deep pain for what happened to this town but I loved deeply and eternally hostile. Maybe someday, maybe, we will make peace, it is important that all of them, and tell all the people who are suffering, they soon find themselves back where cot a rocking ...

Press on Lack of a civil

Rome 05.07.2009. At a distance of two months from March 8 and the solemn ceremony in the Capitol with unanimous approval of the resolution committing the City of Rome to a civil in all cases of rape against women commessi a Roma, il Comune "perde" il primo appuntamento. In quali mani è stato put the task of protecting the community? The application must be repugnant to the post because we thought that it is underestimating the violence problem, and that the annexed "toolbox safety" - which has had so much weight in to elect this administration - without taking over the counter.
