The idea costituente del PDUM, viene fissata su un messaggio dell’Utente Federico AmMI il 9 aprile 2005 (ormai perso con il vecchio data base di Politica OnLine), e il Partito, nasce ufficialmente nel giugno del 2005, in tempo per prendere parte alle sue prime elezioni virtuali. Il risultato fu incoraggiante, raccogliendo il 4,9 % delle preferenze.
Da allora, passando attraverso a situazioni anche difficile, il peso del PDUM è costantemente cresciuto nei numeri, simultaneamente alla sua coerenza di programmi e vedute, che hanno contribuito a far crescere nei nostri avversari politici considerazione e rispetto nei nostri confronti.
